This book talks about John Zorn’s methods of composition and improvisation and about one of his most famous composition for guitar, The Book Of Heads. The book is divided in two parts. In the first one I talk about the methods of composition and improvisation used by Zorn. The second part is dedicated to The Book Of Heads, 35 étude for solo guitar, composed between 1976 and 1978 for Eugene Chadbourne. In this book you will find not only aesthetic and musical analyzes but also historical, economic and social studies about what contributed to create these innovative musical structures.
