Dear friends
Covid-19 is dangerously impacting the social-economic category of musicians. No concerts, poor political and social consideration, uncertain earnings. As a consequence, an ever-growing number of musicians, especially those from the experimental area, are trying to promote their music on BandCamp in digital format only. It is increasingly difficult for me to follow and review this incredible flow of music. I therefore decided to open this section on my blog Neuguitars where I propose music in digital format that I consider particularly interesting and worthy of attention. I hope you like it. Let’s support musicians. They need it.

“Cerca y Lejos”, is an album composed and inspired, partly from the concept of using the guitar and its electronics (pedals, effects, pickups) to orchestrate arrangements, voicings and different textures. No keyboards, virtual synths, or midi guitar synths were used on this album. All sounds were created with analog pedals; and in the rhythmic part, as a sound and aesthetic concept, samples of old digital drums (especially from the 80s), and editions of African-American percussion loops “.
“Cerca y Lejos (Volumen 2 de la serie “Música en Aislamiento”) es un álbum compuesto e inspirado, en parte desde el concepto de la utilización de la guitarra y su electrónica (pedales, efectos, diferentes pickups) para orquestar arreglos y distintas texturas. En este álbum NO se utilizaron otros instrumentos, asi como tampoco teclados, ni sintetizadores virtuales, ni tampoco sintetizadores de guitarra midi. Todos los sonidos fueron creados con pedales analógicos; y en la parte ritmica, como concepto sonoro y estetico, sampleos de baterias digitales antiguas (especialmente de la decada de los 80s), y ediciones de loops de percusion afroamericanos”
